The Carolina Southern Division strives to:
Instruct, aid, and assist model railroaders in our area in fulfilling
their enjoyment of model railroading as a hobby;
Promote model railroading especially in our Carolina Southern Division
area by sponsoring model railroad events, including conventions, meets,
clinics, and contests; and
Promote model railroading in general through participation in the Mid
Eastern Region (MER) and National Model Railroad Association, Inc. (NMRA).
To advance these goals, we have a
program to help folks get started. Check out the Help Page
for a link to your personalized help. There's lots of experience waiting
at your fingertips.
Another way we
promote the hobby of model railroading is in helping to preserve existing
layouts. Our current preservation project is a large HO display layout in the town of
Brookford, NC, just to the south of Hickory. More information is
on our Train Town page.
