Retraction

In the recent copy of the Brass Pounder (V8N5, January 2009), I used a poor choice of words in stating that Rick Knight had left the Carolina Southern Division to pursue other interest with the Boy Scouts of America.  This was not correct.  Rick has not left the division.  Rick stepped down as Division Superintendent to allow me to fill an ambition to be elected as Regional Board member in the Fall of 2009. Rick and I spoke about this after the Regional Convention and it was his decision to step down because I faced a difficult chore of getting my name out in the Region in order to be elected.   I do apologize for not stating this correctly, it was an error on my part.
